So, they combine state-of-the-art technology with in-house expertise to reduce fees and maximize your long-term return potential.
They follow a “value investing” strategy of acquiring assets for less than what we believe is their intrinsic value, and typically less than their replacement cost.

How to Get Started?
Fees to Pay
Fundrise charges its clients a small fee for their services — 0.15% in annual advisory fees, to be exact.
More so, this means that over 12 months, you will pay a $1.50 advisory fee for every $1,000 you’ve invested with them.
Furthermore, the advisory fee exists to reimburse Fundrise for the time and money that’s invested on your behalf into building our industry-leading platform. Things like:

What I LIKE About Fundrise.com?
Low Minimum Investment
The minimum initial investment on Fundrise is $10. However, different account levels have different minimums:
More so, you can invest in Fundrise through any of the following account types:
- Individual account
- Joint account
- Entity account
- Trust account
- IRA
Long-term Investment
Like all private real estate investments, investments in Fundrise should be viewed as long-term (5+ years).
More so, This is because nearly all of the most effective real estate investing strategies require a combination of both expertise and time to pay off.
Furthermore, they select strategies based on their long-term return potential for our investors, not short-term optics.
If you anticipate needing your investment back in the near term, we don’t recommend investing with us.
What I HATE About Fundrise.com?
Not Available in Countries Outside USA
Only U.S. citizen (or permanent resident) currently residing in the U.S. who is over the age of 18 can invest with Fundrise.
On the other hand, no accreditation is required.
Limited Way of Funding Investment
The primary way to fund your initial investment is via an ACH transaction from a linked checking account or via a debit card.
More so, for additional investments above $25,000, they do accept wires.
Note: They are unable to accept orders via credit card or from savings accounts.
Non-traded REITs
Fundrise’s eREITs don’t trade on a public exchange — they’re highly illiquid. That means there’s no guarantee there will be buyers for investors who want to sell shares. (Check out this warning from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA, for more on risks to watch for with non-traded REITs.)
More so, there are significant risks to investing in non-traded REITs, but there can be rewards, too. Fundrise says its average annualized platform returns were between 7.31% and 16.11% between 2017 and the third quarter of 2021.
Is Fundrise.com a SCAM?
Fundrise is NOT A SCAM.
However, they do have some negative reviews from very angry customers.
Furthermore, the downside in investing with Fundrise is they don’t trade on a public exchange — they’re highly illiquid. That means there’s no guarantee there will be buyers for investors who want to sell shares.
Repeating, there are significant risks to investing in non-traded REITs, but there can be rewards, too.
And that’s a downside.
Final Thoughts
With all honesty, investing with Fundrise is very risky.
We do not want that, especially if the money that we are putting into it is a retirement fund that we worked our life for.
